The Natural Language Processing Lab in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT (BHU) heartily invites you to contribute data for Indian Languages in order to develop better Language Technologies for our languages.
This drive for online data collection is being conducted under the Bhashadaan Initiative of the Bhashini Mission of the of the Ministry of Electronic and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. Bhasini Mission in particular, and MeitY in general, are also the primary funding agencies for the development of technologies for Indian languages.

How to Join
1. Please fill out this Google form:
https://forms.gle/
2. You will be added to the IIT (BHU) account of IIT (BHU). Once added, you will receive an invitation email (it may take some minutes for the invitation email to reach your mailbox). After clicking on this email, you will be able to login.
3. Once you succeed in logging in, you can start contributing in any of the scheduled languages of India, including Sanskrit and English.
The leaderboard will show your contributions after some intervals. Contributions can be in text or speech (Bolo, Suno, Likho, Dekho). You can earn Bronze, Silver and Gold badges depending on the amount of data you contribute.
Please note that the more contributions you make, the ranking of IIT (BHU) will be higher, but only if you login through the above process, and not by creating your own account.
Moreover, we have applied, as part of a consortium consisting of IIT (BHU), BHU and IIT Patna for empanelment as an HEI (Higher Educational Institution) to the Bhashini Mission. If we are empanelled, it will open up many possibilities for our institute, along with BHU and IIT Patna, for carrying out educational, research and development activities with the support of the Bhashini Mission.
So, please start contributing both at the institute level and at the national level for the cause of Indian languages.
