Abstract:
The 2026 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to Francis Halzen in recognition of his decisive
contributions to the IceCube Neutrino Observatory and the discovery of high-energy neutrinos of
astrophysical origin. This talk will trace the fascinating journey of neutrinos, from their theoretical
proposal and experimental discovery to the major milestones that have shaped our present
understanding of these elusive elementary particles.
